The 2020 Community Investment Funds were launched online with the participation of Kim-Fa Bondi, the Regional Ministerial Secretary of Energy for Atacama, and Miguel \u00c1ngel Alarc\u00f3n, who is responsible for the Productive Development Unit at the Municipality of Freirina. These funds jointly involved Aela Energ\u00eda and Latin America Power for the second consecutive year, who operate the Sarco and San Juan wind farms, respectively.<\/p>\n
They are the result of regular engagement throughout the year with communities at Cha\u00f1aral, Los Burros, La Reina and Carrizalillo, through working groups that review short, medium and long-term initiatives, which are then submitted to the Community Investment Fund.<\/p>\n

The fund expects to finance projects that total Ch$120 million, where Aela Energ\u00eda has provided Ch$90 million and Latin American Power Ch$30 million, which will support social projects that add value to communities neighboring both plants. This financing is spread across three main categories, which are: Environment and Energy Efficiency, Education and Culture, and Entrepreneurship and Tourism.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, a special category was added this year for projects that address the health, economic and social effects of the COVID-19 pandemic within the community, due to the national restrictions imposed during this emergency.<\/p>\n
The Regional Ministerial Secretary of Energy for Atacama, Kim-Fa Bondi, said that \"once again, we appreciate that the Sarco and San Juan wind farms have provided resources within their commitment to community engagement and their continual dialog with their neighbors in Carrizalillo, Cha\u00f1aral de Aceituno, Los Burros and La Reina. These projects have a significant impact because they have been suggested by the community itself, and we have participated in a transparent evaluation process for the second consecutive year, which we are confident will have a positive impact on the development of these communities.\u201d
The mayor of Freirina, C\u00e9sar Orellana, commented that \"we are grateful for these initiatives, and our administration always finds it remarkable when local organizations are given access to financing, in this case from private companies.\u201d<\/p>\n

Con la participaci\u00f3n de la seremi de Energ\u00eda de Atacama, Kim \u2013 Fa Bondi y el encargado de la Unidad de Fomento Productivo de la Municipalidad de Freirina, Miguel \u00c1ngel Alarc\u00f3n, se realiz\u00f3 el lanzamiento online de la edici\u00f3n 2020 de los Fondos de Inversi\u00f3n Comunitaria, que por segundo a\u00f1o consecutivo realizan en conjunto las empresas Aela Energ\u00eda y Latin America Power, las cuales operan los parques e\u00f3licos Sarco y San Juan respectivamente.<\/p>
Estos fondos son producto del trabajo participativo que se efect\u00faa de forma regular durante todo el a\u00f1o con las comunidades de caletas Cha\u00f1aral, Los Burros, La Reina y Carrizalillo, por medio de mesas de trabajo que permiten revisar iniciativas de corto, mediano y largo plazo, que posteriormente son postuladas y presentadas al Fondo de Inversi\u00f3n Comunitaria.<\/p>
De esta forma, el fondo contempla la entrega total de 120 millones de pesos, de los cuales Aela Energ\u00eda dispone $90.000.000 y Lat\u00edn American Power $30.000.000, que permiten favorecer el desarrollo de distintos proyectos sociales que tienen como objetivo agregar valor a las comunidades vecinas de ambos proyectos. Estos se enmarcan bajo distintas l\u00edneas de financiamiento tales como: Medio ambiente y Eficiencia energ\u00e9tica, Educaci\u00f3n y Cultura, junto con Emprendimiento y Turismo.<\/p>
Adem\u00e1s, debido a la contingencia por la que atraviesa el pa\u00eds producto del Covid-19, en esta oportunidad se incorpor\u00f3 una categor\u00eda especial para presentar proyectos que busquen enfrentar en comunidad los efectos de la pandemia desde el punto de vista sanitario, econ\u00f3mico y social.<\/p>
Al respecto, la seremi de Energ\u00eda de Atacama, Kim-Fa Bondi, asegur\u00f3 que \u201cnos parece muy valorable que, nuevamente, los parques e\u00f3licos Sarco y San Juan est\u00e9n disponiendo de recursos en el marco de su compromiso de relacionamiento comunitario y del di\u00e1logo permanente que mantienen con los vecinos de Carrizalillo y las Caletas Cha\u00f1aral de Aceituno, Los Burros y la Reina. Se trata de proyectos que tienen una incidencia significativa porque han sido levantados por la misma comunidad y adem\u00e1s, por segundo a\u00f1o consecutivo, hemos sido parte de un proceso de evaluaci\u00f3n transparente, el que estamos confiados impactar\u00e1 de manera positiva en el desarrollo de las comunidades favorecidas\u201d.
