{"id":2080,"date":"2022-12-21T17:38:09","date_gmt":"2022-12-21T17:38:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latampower.com\/web\/?p=2080"},"modified":"2022-12-21T18:23:03","modified_gmt":"2022-12-21T18:23:03","slug":"estudiantes-de-melipeuco-participaron-del-segundo-encuentro-de-escuelas-ubicadas-en-zona-de-riesgo-volcanico","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latampower.com\/en\/estudiantes-de-melipeuco-participaron-del-segundo-encuentro-de-escuelas-ubicadas-en-zona-de-riesgo-volcanico\/","title":{"rendered":"Students from Melipeuco participated in the Second Meeting of Schools located in Volcanic Risk Zones"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[et_pb_section fb_built=\u00bb1&#8243; admin_label=\u00bbSecci\u00f3n\u00bb _builder_version=\u00bb4.17.3&#8243; global_colors_info=\u00bb{}\u00bb][et_pb_row _builder_version=\u00bb4.16&#8243; background_size=\u00bbinitial\u00bb background_position=\u00bbtop_left\u00bb background_repeat=\u00bbrepeat\u00bb collapsed=\u00bboff\u00bb global_colors_info=\u00bb{}\u00bb][et_pb_column type=\u00bb4_4&#8243; _builder_version=\u00bb4.16&#8243; custom_padding=\u00bb|||\u00bb global_colors_info=\u00bb{}\u00bb custom_padding__hover=\u00bb|||\u00bb][et_pb_text admin_label=\u00bbTexto\u00bb _builder_version=\u00bb4.17.3&#8243; background_size=\u00bbinitial\u00bb background_position=\u00bbtop_left\u00bb background_repeat=\u00bbrepeat\u00bb global_colors_info=\u00bb{}\u00bb]<\/p>\n<p><strong>The commune is located less than 15 kilometers from the Llaima Volcano, the second most active volcano in South America.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Between November 23, 24 and 25, students from the Llaima Volcano School and the Melipeuco School participated in the Second Meeting of Schools Located in Volcanic Risk Zones, an event held on the campus of the Universidad de la Frontera in Puc\u00f3n, whose main objective was to improve protocols for dealing with the imminent risks of living in areas near volcanoes in the \"active\" category.<\/p>\n<p>During the activity, which was also attended by schools from cities such as Puerto Varas, Co\u00f1aripe, Lonquimay and Puc\u00f3n, students from the commune of Melipueco presented their project \"Knowing the Volcanic Danger of My Commune\", an initiative they worked on together with the energy development company Latin America Power (LAP) and the municipality, within the framework of the SNCAE environmental certification program that is being worked on with schools in the commune.<\/p>\n<p>In this scenario, the students developed a Trawun, an instance of meeting and reflection among Mapuche Pehuenches, with experiences of people who experienced eruptions of the Llaima volcano in the past and built a model in relation to the dangers and risks that are linked to the volcano.<\/p>\n<p>According to Bernardo Jaramillo, Monitor and Coordinator of the Environmental Certification program, who was also part of the meeting, the participation of the schools in this instance is very significant since the commune of Melipeuco is located less than 15 km from the Llaima volcano, so an eruption could directly affect all the activity of the commune. \"This makes it even more important to provide feedback on how to improve protocols and integrate new techniques and responses to the dangers presented by the volcano. Entre el 23, 24 y 25 de noviembre los alumnos de la Escuela Volc\u00e1n Llaima y el Colegio de Melipeuco participaron del Segundo Encuentro de Escuelas Ubicadas en Zona de Riesgo Volc\u00e1nico, evento desarrollado en el [&hellip;]<\/p>","protected":false},"author":13,"featured_media":2082,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_et_pb_use_builder":"on","_et_pb_old_content":"<p>La empresa de generaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda renovable, Latin America Power (LAP) present\u00f3 su Reporte de Sostenibilidad 2021 que contempla las acciones realizadas en sus m\u00e1s de diez proyectos en operaci\u00f3n, junto con su participaci\u00f3n con 42 comunidades tanto en Chile como en Per\u00fa.<\/p><p>De esta forma, la compa\u00f1\u00eda inform\u00f3 sobre sus aportes en distintas materias ligadas con el desarrollo econ\u00f3mico y social de las comunidades donde participa, en l\u00ednea con su compromiso por acelerar las transformaciones en el sector para un futuro sostenible.<\/p><p>Este nuevo reporte es resultado de tres meses de elaboraci\u00f3n y un amplio n\u00famero de entrevistas a distintos colaboradores, proveedores y clientes en Chile y Per\u00fa, demostrando que la compa\u00f1\u00eda contribuy\u00f3 con nueve de los diecisiete Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) de la Organizaci\u00f3n de las Naciones Unidas, en base a un trabajo centrado en los fondos de inversi\u00f3n con foco en las comunidades, la educaci\u00f3n para el desarrollo sostenible, una gesti\u00f3n al desarrollo local y el cambio clim\u00e1tico con foco en educaci\u00f3n ambiental<\/p><p>Al respecto, el gerente general de Latin America Power, Diego Hollweck destac\u00f3 que \u201ceste reporte de sostenibilidad es el reflejo del trabajo que estamos realizando, junto con la dedicaci\u00f3n que todos quienes formamos parte de LAP hemos puesto en generar un impacto positivo en la comunidad y hacer de nuestro quehacer un beneficio para el medioambiente y el mundo en general. Estamos seguros y convencidos de nuestra labor, con una visi\u00f3n de negocio sostenible que tiene como idea central lograr un equilibrio entre el desarrollo empresarial, el respeto al medioambiente y la contribuci\u00f3n a las comunidades donde operamos\u201d.<\/p><p>Al mismo tiempo, durante el 2021 la empresa decidi\u00f3 asumir un nuevo desaf\u00edo, a trav\u00e9s de la medici\u00f3n de la huella de carbono corporativa, que consiste en la evaluaci\u00f3n de las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero (GEI) que emiti\u00f3 la empresa a trav\u00e9s de Carbononeutral quienes utilizaron un software especializado en la materia. \u201cLa medici\u00f3n es una herramienta esencial de nuestro compromiso ambiental, por ello decidimos ir m\u00e1s all\u00e1 con este tremendo desaf\u00edo, agreg\u00f3 el gerente de Sostenibilidad de Latin America Power, Jos\u00e9 Salgado.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00a0Actualmente Latin America Power aporta con m\u00e1s de 340 MW de energ\u00eda limpia a las matrices de Chile y Per\u00fa, mediante distintas fuentes de energ\u00eda, como hidroel\u00e9ctrica, e\u00f3lica y solar.
