Ceremony in compliance with sanitary protocols<\/h1>\n

A ceremony was held at the Atenea High School in Cunco that complied with all the sanitary protocols recommended by the authorities, where the energy company Latin America Power, together with the Municipality of Cunco, awarded 23 scholarships to elementary, middle and high school students.<\/p>\n

The scholarships consist of a gift card valued at Ch$150,000 for 12 elementary school students and Ch$300,000 for 8 middle school students, to cover their educational expenses and to buy materials, technological equipment, books and other items that support their studies.<\/p>\n

Three high school students received an unrestricted scholarship valued at Ch$1,880,000 that covers their registration fees, tuition fees and daily expenses.<\/p>\n

The Cunco DAEM, Ciro Diaz, commented that \"the commitment of private companies to the local community is important and hopefully this role within national education can be understood by every company.\"<\/p>\n

Jos\u00e9 Salgado is the Safety, Environmental and Sustainability Manager at Latin America Power and he congratulated the beneficiaries when he emphasized that \"this scholarship program is an example of our commitment to local communities since we arrived, especially to neighbors of our Transmisora Valle Allipen plant, who live in Los Lingues, Los Laureles, Las Hortensias, Choroico and other local villages.\"<\/p>\n

The Latin America Power scholarship program began in 2014 and has benefited more than 200 students from Cunco and Melipeuco over the last six years.<\/p>\n

Towards the end of the ceremony, the beneficiary Paula Troncoso said she was \"very grateful for this scholarship, especially in this difficult year. It reaffirms my commitment to education and my parents' dedication to building my future. This scholarship is an extra motivation and I am very grateful to the Municipality, to LAP and to Arturo Valenzuela High School, which still cares for me even after I have graduated\".<\/em><\/p>\n

En una ceremonia realizada en el Liceo Atenea de Cunco, cumpliendo con todos los protocolos sanitarios recomendados por las autoridades, la empresa de energ\u00eda Latin America Power, junto con la Municipalidad de Cunco, entregaron 23 becas de estudio a estudiantes de ense\u00f1anza b\u00e1sica, media y superior.<\/p>

Adem\u00e1s, tres alumnos de educaci\u00f3n superior recibieron una beca de libre disposici\u00f3n, que consiste en un bono de $1.880.000 que les permite cubrir el pago de arancel, matr\u00edcula y gastos cotidianos en las ciudades en las que estudian.<\/p>

Al respecto, el DAEM de Cunco, Ciro D\u00edaz, coment\u00f3 \u201ces importante el compromiso que la empresa privada entrega en la comuna, y que ojal\u00e1 as\u00ed se entendiera el rol de todas las empresas en el desarrollo de la educaci\u00f3n en nuestro territorio\u201d<\/p>

En tanto, el gerente de Seguridad, Medio Ambiente y Sustentabilidad de Latin America Power, Jos\u00e9 Salgado, junto con felicitar a los beneficiados, recalc\u00f3 que \u201ceste programa de becas de estudio es una muestra del trabajo que hemos realizado con las comunidades desde que llegamos a la zona, especialmente con aquellas que est\u00e1n cercanas a nuestra operaci\u00f3n de Transmisora Valle Allipen, que se relaciona con habitantes de Los Lingues, Los Laureles, Las Hortensias y Choroico, entre otros sectores de la comuna\u201d.<\/p>

Cabe se\u00f1alar que, el programa de becas de estudios de Latin America Power comenz\u00f3 en 2014, beneficiando en estos \u00faltimos seis a\u00f1os a m\u00e1s de 200 alumnos de Cunco y Melipeuco.<\/p>

Para finalizar la ceremonia, la estudiante de educaci\u00f3n superior, Paula Troncoso, una de las beneficiadas por esta iniciativa, manifest\u00f3 estar \u201cmuy agradecida de la beca, en especial en este a\u00f1o tan dif\u00edcil, me ayuda a reafirmar el compromiso por mi educaci\u00f3n y el esfuerzo de mis padres por mi futuro.
