Non-Conventional Renewable Energy (NCRE) projects use renewable resources to generate electricity and have minimal social and environmental impacts. Examples of NCRE projects are organic waste plants, small run-of-river hydroelectric plants, wind power plants, solar plants, biomass co-generation plants, etc.
