In order to commemorate the year-end holidays, Latin America Power (LAP) carried out a series of activities with the community to celebrate especially with the children and share in the best way the closing of the year 2022.
In this regard, our Safety, Sustainability and Environment Manager at LAP, José Salgado, appreciated the willingness of the communities and their children to participate in the activity and emphasized that "Christmas is a very important date for us, as it represents the unity of the communities. That is why we hope to be part of these celebrations for a long time to come and thus contribute in a positive way to the children of the commune"

In collaboration with the Sarco, Cabo Leones I, II and III wind farms, we developed an activity to celebrate Christmas 2022, together with children from the communities of Los Burros Sur, La Reina and Punta Bascuñan.
The event was held at the Los Burros neighborhood headquarters, where the children who attended were able to enjoy a Christmas space, along with the delivery of sweets and the presence of inflatable games and children's entertainment.
Closing of the year Environmental Certification Program in Melipeuco
At the same time, in Melipeuco we closed the year of the 2022 Environmental Certification Program, a joint initiative with the Melipeuco Municipal Education Administration Department and the National Educational Environmental Certification System. (details here))
The event was held at the Melipeuco square, where students from first to fourth grade of the Caren, Volcán Llaima, Cumcumllaque and Liceo Los Andes schools enjoyed a Christmas activity, which included a magic show, children's entertainment and music.
In this regard, our HSSE supervisor and program coordinator, Manuel González, emphasized that these types of instances represent a lot for the work they seek to develop in the area. "2022 was a positive year for the Environmental Certification Program and much of this was thanks to the collaboration and good disposition of the children. What we seek with this type of initiative is to reward them for their efforts and at the same time strengthen the work that we intend to continue developing next year," he added.
