The activity, held in Melipeuco, was attended by parents, teachers and students from nine educational establishments in the sector.

Almost 350 people, including teachers, parents and students from nine different educational establishments in Melipeuco and who are part of the "Me Sumo" project, were part of a family race organized by the Sports Unit of the Municipality of the commune, which aimed to promote a healthy lifestyle among the inhabitants of the area.

In this regard, the person in charge of the Sports Unit of the Municipality, Jaime Ortega, stressed that "with this initiative, we seek to promote the balance between fundamental aspects, recognizing that the strengthening of healthy childhoods is crucial for a harmonious coexistence in schools and in the community in general. That is why we involve all the relevant actors, from families to community networks and the educational institutions themselves."

The event was supported by LAP and the Municipality of Melipeuco, through the Me Sumo project, a program that seeks to promote the creation of different initiatives, activities and benefits in favor of the community.

Along these lines, the HSSE supervisor of LAP, Manuel González, added that "seeing the call that the bullfight had motivates us to continue working to create these spaces and gives us a positive signal for the work we are carrying out with "Me Sumo". It is important to continue adding actors to this new management model."

The bullfight also had the participation of the monitors of the Me Sumo program, who showed the work they have done with students in the sector in terms of environmental education in the last two years, and the Environment Unit of Melipeuco, who contributed with the installation of a Mobile Clean Point in the activity.
